LEJOG Day 2 Progress
Day 2 LEJOG - Monday 14th September 2020
Leaving St Austell was tough as there was an immediate long hard hill. It was the precursor to a tough day with many more ups and downs than day 1.
Lots of very small roads with difficult to find stopping points. Finally found a layby near Minions where a cup of coffee raised the spirits before more tough hills.
Once up on Bodmin Moor the scenery was spectacular and mindful of the New Forest.
Tavistock was lovely except for the climb to the farmhouse which was yet another brutal climb. Thankfully Charlie was at hand to pick us up (the ride to the farmhouse was not part of LEJOG). Kilworthy Farm was a working farm with pigs, cows, cattle and chickens. Lovely views towards Dartmoor and the next day's ride.
We had a lovely pizza at Robertsons - the "best pizza in the South West"
